This peaceful 3.4 (soon to be 5.6) mile paved waterfront trail parallels the westwern shore of Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge and is enjoyed by walkers, runners, cyclists and roller skaters. The 4th stage of development for the Melton Lake Greenway over to Haw Ridge Park is due to be completed late spring 2012. Melton Hill Lake is home to the Oak Ridge Rowing team where springtime brings the best rowing teams in the nation to the lake to prepare for the season and compete in the regattas. Along the greenway, Melton Lake Park provides a picnic shelter and playground for families that want to take the greenway to the park.
