With 173 miles of shoreline along Melton Hill Lake, the beautiful Melton Lake Park is a perfect spot for SUP (standup paddleboards, kayaks and pedal boats. For those that want to take a break from the water, there is a sand volleyball court, playground, picnic shelter and pavilion. The peaceful 5.6-mile waterfront Melton Lake Greenway is great for walking, running, and biking. The greenway contours the shoreline over to Haw Ridge Park.

Considered one of the best 2,000-meter rowing venues in America, Melton Lake is home for the Oak Ridge Rowing Association. You can spot them practicing on a regular basis or check their website for an upcoming regatta. The Oak Ridge Rowing Association plays hosts to several regattas including the US Rowing National Championships. Oak Ridge is one of only three cities to host this prestigious event since 1983. Fishing: TVA has recorded 28 different species of fish on Melton Hill Lake. One of the most popular is the musky. The state record musky weighed in at 43 pounds, 14 ounces! TWRA annually stock fish into the reservoir. Catch in Melton Hill Lake includes Musky, Northern Pike, Striped Bass, and Skipjack Herring.

Paddling: Rentals are available for SUP, kayaks, and bikes through Adventures Outdoors.
