Enjoy a quiet walk along the paved Charter Doyle Greenway that winds through patches of tall pine trees and around the play areas and lush open space. Enjoy some time on the tennis courts or get a game of softball going. Along with plenty of recreational fun for people, the newly opened Petsafe Dog Park is a great place to let your four-legged friends romp unleashed. There are separate play areas for small and large dogs. The beautiful rolling land that is now Charter E Doyle Memorial Park was generously donated in 1984 by the Doyle family. Enjoy the quiet Mildred Doyle nature trail that spurs off the greenway, making a loop through the forest as it passes by a family cemetery. There you'll find a single military tombstone recording the life of John Doyle, dating 1748-1837.

The City of Knoxville recently carved a 0.3 mile trail through the woods to connect the Park with the neighborhood and school. From the neighborhood, the trail entrance is next to Mooreland Heights Elementary School on Magazine Rd. The trail winds through the woods, connecting with the Mildred Doyle Trail at the cemetary. Here users can stay straight to access the greenway or continue along the trail through the woods for a longer route.
