With blueway access to the Tennessee River and natural trails to explore in the woods and ridges surrounding the park, this is a great adventure park. Anglers can enjoy bank fishing or setup on the long fishing pier. Paddlers can trolley around the inlet or head out to the main river. The eight plus miles of singletrack trails are a favorite for mountain bikers, hikers and trail runners, ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate. The singletrack trails contour the shoreline and climb the ridges, twisting and turning through the woods.

Update March 2017: Knox County crews began the groundwork to build another three miles of hiking and mountain bike trails at the back of IC King Park. Overall work on the entire 219 acre park should be complete within a few years. It will include trails, a picnic shelter, dog park, playground, rest rooms and parking.
