Island Home Park, nestled in the Island Home neighborhood, hosts a scenic waterfront recreational play area. Here you'll enjoy a ballfield, tennis court, playground and picnic facilities. The paved loop trail that circumvents the park connects with the Will Skelton Greenway and winds along the Tennessee River, through the woods, and over to Ijams Nature Center where it continues through the center to terminate at the Forks of the River WMA. Within the park, there is a small blueway access for canoes or kayakers although its location and design make it difficult to access.
