Sam Duff Memorial Park enhances the surrounding neighborhoods by providing a recreational play area, within a natural setting, to a locale that lies adjacent to a busy highway. Originally this area hosted a football and track facility for nearby Young High School where Sam Duff was the school's long-time principal. The track, now esteemed the Sam Duff Greenway, is still a favorite for runners and walkers. A wide array of amenities include 2 tennis and 2 basketball courts and for the little ones a playground. There are picnic facilities for all to enjoy. The concession stand is open for special occasions and restrooms are provided. More renovations and additions are in the planning stages.
