Skirting three sides of the park, the Tennessee River provides paddling and fishing opportunities for Carl Cowan Park visitors. Anglers can catch their limit from the fishing pier or along the banks. Pristine waterfront views abound here! On the land side, there are sport fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and both paved and natural surface trails. From the north side of the park, the nature trail winds through the forest, fringing the shoreline as it makes it's way over to Admiral Farragut Park — a beautiful trail for viewing songbirds and waterfowl. Kids and dogs will enjoy splashing in the surf along the way. And for those hot summer months, let the kids prance through the fountains at the splash pad.
