Just 10 minutes from downtown you can drive to the top of Sharp's Ridge Memorial Park for the best view of our skyline and the distant mountain peaks, but many don't know there is a trail that traverses these wooded hills. The trailhead is located just across from the first picnic area. Currently, there is 1.25 miles of singletrack trail that can be enjoyed by hikers, runners and mountain bikers. Birdwatchers can join one of the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society's many hikes.
The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club is currently building new trails along the ridge. When finished the proposed trail system will have an estimated 3.6 miles of singletrack trail. Join them for a workday!
