Practically in our back yard, we have access to rivers, lakes, and numerous creeks and ponds that skirt alongside our local greenways and parks. From these shorelines and fishing piers, bank fishermen can catch a variety of fish — bluegill are often tops, but catfish, crappie and bass are also common catches. Bank fishing near the TVA steam plants gives anglers an opportunity to catch striped bass, musky and even paddlefish. Listed below are a few of the local favorites.
James White Greenway - fish off the bridge over First Creek in front of the Marina
Neyland Greenway - fish off the bridge at Signal Mountain Cement Company
Will Skelton Greenway - fish off the bridge across from Island Home Airport
